Hello. My name is James Toonk, and I am a member of the wedding officiant team which serves couples at all Pearle Hospitality venues: Ancaster Mill, Cambridge Mill, Earth to Table Farm, Elora Mill, Spencers at the Waterfront, The Pearle Hotel, and Whistle Bear Golf Club.

About Me:

I have been married to my beautiful wife Melinda for 6 yrs and have loved every minute! Born and raised in Palmerston Ontario, which I believe is one of the smallest picturesque towns I know. With the town's walking bridge and trails, it's perfect for romantic dates with your special someone. The romantic side has always been part of my life. I'm a musician, playing drums for 17 yrs, and play drums as a recording artist in a family & kids rock/folk band. I love coffee, live it, breathe it, and need it! I love all animals and nature. Take me on a good hike in the woods and we'll be friends forever. I love all things StarWars and tattoos.

About My Work:

I have been a certified wedding officiant for almost 2 years and have been serving others my entire life. After college in Australia, I worked as a direct support professional serving those with special needs. After that I worked in the coffee industry, starting as a barista learning how to serve coffee and alcohol. I then stepped out and opened my own coffee shop downtown Kitchener. Then I worked for a coffee shop/bakery in Listowel, where I delivered coffee and bakery products, serving customers in the coffee shop and doing whatever my boss needed. I am now a barista working in Paris where I get to serve the community and tourists, and am currently building a mobile espresso cart catering business. I am all about meeting the needs of others and serving them to the best of my abilities.

About My Passions:

I've always loved being a part of a wedding. From being a ring bearer, groomsman, serving the event to just being a witness, weddings have been part of my life. Being able to share that special day with the bride and groom is such a beautiful and wonderful experience! It's a fairy tail coming to life. A day filled with true love and it should be remembered for the rest of your lives. This passion comes from wanting to do everything with excellence showing that dreams can come to reality and it's time to celebrate.
