How long does the ceremony take?

Anywhere from 20-30 minutes, depending on how many people participate and the components you include.

Can we write our own vows?

Yes. And we can help you with ideas if you need them.

Do we have to memorize our vows?

No. However you if want to, it's fine by us.

Can children take part in the ceremony?

Yes. And we have a few suggestions on how this can work successfully.

What does the officiant wear?

A dark business suit is our standard. Special requests to "fit" a theme can be negotiated!

Can photos and/or videos be taken during the ceremony?

This is the decision of each couple. We ask that photographers and videographers be as discreet as possible during the ceremony in order to avoid distraction.

Is a rehearsal included?

Yes. Your venue will conduct a rehearsal at an arranged time. The staff of your venue will lead the rehearsal, following the ceremony notes provided by your Officiant on the ceremony script. Your Officiant will not be present at your rehearsal, unless this is prearranged.

You can get your Marriage License at any city hall in Ontario up to 90 days before the wedding.

How do I change my name after the wedding?

First, you need to secure a Marriage Certificate. You will find more information on this process in the Name Change section of this website.
